


Churches
Anglican Saint Mark’s Church
Situated near the centre of the Village on Knutsford road. It was consecrated in 1848 and is a fine example of Victorian design and enterprise.
It was built in 1847 from local materials - sandstone from Appleton quarry, brick from Whitley, sand from a village field and woodwork by a carpenter from Whitley.
The ministry is shared with Ashton-by-Sutton, Little Leigh and Lower Whitley.
Methodist Chapel
Methodism has had a presence in Antrobus for more than 200 years.
Although the current building, located about half a mile down Barbers Lane, dates only from 1936. It offers a fine Chapel together with kitchen,cloakroom and versatile schoolroom enabling it’s use for a variety of social functions and meetings.
The Friends Meeting House
Located in the centre of Frandley, this Meeting House has roots dating back to 1650’s and the foundation of Quakerism. It’s historic importance brings many visitors to the site and it is used as a place of retreat and meditation by a wide variety of groups.
